A weekly meeting and a standing promise
A Rotary club is a weekly meeting and a standing promise to the parish.
The Rotary Club of Savanna-la-Mar is club number 6790 in Rotary District 7020, which covers Jamaica, the Bahamas, the Cayman Islands, Haiti, and the eastern Caribbean. We meet every Tuesday evening at Hotel Commingle on Hudson Street, and between meetings we run service projects across Westmoreland.
Rotary is a global network of over 1.4 million members in more than 46,000 clubs. What holds it together is not a headquarters but a habit: people who know each other well enough to be honest, meeting often enough to actually finish things.
Our club sponsors the Rotaract Club of Savanna-la-Mar for young adults, and works with Interact and EarlyAct clubs in local schools, so that leadership and service are learned early rather than discovered late.
